Our medieval battle sword Ulfbehre is a Viking sword of Petersen Type I from the 10th century. The original of this sword was found in Kjoelstad (Kjølstad) in the municipality of Nes (Akershus), Norway. The peculiarity of this sword is the quite atypical wide guard for its time. The blade is wide and fuller to make it well balanced. It is hand forged from high carbon steel and tempered. The guard is steel and grip is wood covered with leather comes with scabbard mounted with steel accents.
