This late medieval one-handed sword has no unusual features but if you want to use your sword for the purpose it was forged for, this one is the right one for you. The pure simplicity of this European sword is mirrored in its functional handling. Optimally balanced, this is the type of weapon that the tough, hard bitten professional fighting man of his day would have chosen.
The hand forged blade of carbon steel tapers to a good firm stabbing point whilst retaining enough width for damaging cuts along its full length. Its tapered shape and long fuller make it relatively lightweight for its length. The blade is tempered to a very tough spring. The somewhat small radius of the wheel pommel makes up its weight by being thick. The stout cross-guard is not overly long and is curved to protect the hand from an opponent's sliding blade. The hardwood grip is wrapped with slightly fluted leather. Includes a black leather scabbard with steel mouth and shape.
